It took me a lot of time and thinking before I could dare write on a subject that is so widely talked about and has been talked about. Initially, I wanted to write two books for the middle-aged and senior citizens, then, I decided eventually to make it general for everybody. This book tells you how to deal with yourself, other people, and circumstances while living a happy and purposeful life.

I do not think that I am presenting a totally new picture on the subject and can only claim that based on my studies and experiences in life and opinions available on this, I have simply tried to present a comprehensive social, economic and philosophical aspects of happiness in common and simple language, with a view to making it practical, readable and understandable for people of all ages and varied interests. I have quoted eminent people and sayings to I’ve them the credit for what they said, but the larger interpretations and thoughts are my own.
