Description
This book is an effort in the direction of understanding research towards a finding of the lower status of women in society was among the basic underlying causes of maternal malnutrition (physical health) and women’s poor mental health. However, women’s status defines their position in society. It is both their standing as well as the perception in society as to where they actually belonged to an inverse association between nutritional status at reproductive age and the experience of adverse psychological, physical and social outcomes truly represent the women’s status in India.
Readers can use this book as a reference during research on women’s health, nutrition, energy expenditure, energy balance, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and nutritional status can find solutions to most of the problems that occur at research time.
The contents of the book are an outcome of my personal research experience in the fieldwork as a scholar in my earlier years. Being a student and then an assistant professor of the extremely relevant subject of health and nutritional status of women has to the reader for best usage. the content has been further substantiated and augmented with information from various textbooks, journals, and articles published in India and abroad in various media.
The effort has been to keep the book as simple and usable as possible. the best way to use the book is to live with it during all phases of the reproductive age of women, even though various sections of the book are complete unto themselves. This information is a prerequisite for designing and implementing effective nutritional upliftment and of women for a complete Health of women. In fact, the scope of the programme for improvement of health, nutrition’s uplifting self-confidence, and self-image, as well as psychological morbidities, is tremendous and its benefits not only started from adolescent period but extend to their reproductive span.
